LDN889 - 4 panel NB mosaic

This is a 4-panel SHO narrowband mosaic of LDN889 in Cygnus, taken from TriStar Observatory from 2018-08-12 to 2018-09-21.

Frankly, I’d hoped to get more data on this one (especially OIII…signal is weak here, and I’m connived my Atik is weak in that band as well) but a late August 2-week run of cloudy weather, and then another one settling on us this weekend forced my hand a bit. The target’s available for < 4 hours a night now as it is.

That not withstanding, I’m really rather chuffed by the outcome here. Spent less time bashing my head in over this one than usual before coming up with a result that I was pleased with.

This is similar to the colour I was coming up with in a recent image - for lack of OIII subs. Your LDN889 came out well in the end though - nice detail showing through here. :+1:
