Hello.

After some experimentation it looks like when I use Frame & Mosaic, it doesn’t matter what epoch I choose, the center is the same position in the sky. When I try to plate-solve an image using Ansvr, it matters what epoch I choose, but if I choose PS2 it makes no difference - it is always J2000.

What should I know about importance and usefulness of epoch settings when imaging with SGP?

Probably not a lot as we try to protect you from caring about them. We store J2000 internally and convert as needed between whatever your scope is using and any internal coordinates.
