bilgebay - which revision are you using 3.0 or 3.1?

@Mikko_Viljamaa

In this case, it does not matter as the currently available version of 3.1 and 3.0 use the same service for fetching canvas images. The next 3.1 that I will try to release this evening (CST), will change this.

I tested it on 3.1ā€¦ it worked momentarily and itā€™s down again :frowning:

same here, havenā€™t been able to get it to work for a couple of days. Just tried again and it failed. Iā€™m on the latest beta.

Same for me. just downloaded 3.1 and still not working. Is there any way to have the framing and mosaic wizard offline by downloading a mosaic library?

@Ken
Since both NASA, ESO and many others has complete DSS image, is it possible to have a choice to change the source of it?
Current one is heavily unusable in China xD

OK, thanks Ken. The reason my question was of course that I havenā€™t been able to get 3.1 work yet.

Not at the momentā€¦ Only the image data is the sameā€¦ unfortunately, the way in which you communicate with servers to get that data is not standard so each source would require a custom implementation. Also, I am not aware of any other source that will allow querying DSS2 data with a FoV greater than 1 degree (aside from the one I have just chosen for 3.1 Aladin/HiPS)

No fix has been released yet.

The DSS2 catalog is quite large and not avaiable for download. If you know what you want to capture, SGPro will cache targets ahead of time and not require a connection to reuse them at a later date.

Changes discussed above are in 3.1.0.371

The SkyView severs are up again since about an hour, so even my 3.03.169 version works OK now. Thanks for all clarifications and work done related to this thread.
