To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Also, the following error shows up when starting SGP:

Error creating sequence from profile “Nikon D3 Imaging”. Value cannot be null. Parameter name: dictionary.

I assume this has something to do with one of the settings, which I cannot get to without the application throwing an exception.

Just thought I’d report this.

I figured out the reason for the errors… the old profiles are not compatible with this new version! I made a new one and everything is fine now. I guess that was probably already stated in the release notes… d’oh!!!

Thanks, probably an error with existing profiles. Can you please share the Nikon profile (sgp file)? Old profiles should not crash SGPro and should work fine in the new system (minus some parameters that will need to be reset).

I already wrote over the file. Here’s another profile that’s having the same problem.ASI174MM Imaging.zip (3.9 KB)

Also, my ANSVR is no longer working! I verified the port is available, settings show up but selecting solve or blind solve either fail or go to the web to solve. I cannot use 8080 so using the astrometry.net local is not an option. I have to use the url: http://127.0.0.1:8082/api

Any idea what could be causing this dilemma???

So I selected PlateSolve2 as the primary plate solver with blind solver failover option selected and they both seem to work just fine. Blind solver failover seems to call ANSVR… is that normal?? Before, I had ANSVR as the primary plate solver and it would use that exclusively. I’ll go with this for now until I figure out how things are oriented!!

OK it looks like plate solving is working. However, does blind solve failover always go to the astrometry.net website? Is there a way to set it to use ANVSR instead? That would be more useful to someone who doesn’t have access to the web.

I’ll just jump in on this same thread…

Ken/Jared…any idea what this error is that is coming up each time I start up 2.5.0.8. If I click OK - the program starts OK (but I have not actually used this version yet)…just wondering what this error might be so that I can stop it appearing every time. Parameter: Dictionary?

(No logs attached…I’ll do that later if you need them: if the error does not go away when I set it up for use: and if it is still showing on every start up!)

@Kinch don’t worry about logs, I think I know what the issue is here.

Same here - exactly the same error. Profile came up blank after hitting OK.
Also - trying to do the settings on the environment and safety connections came up with exception errors.
In addition - it could not detect I had PHD2.6.1, told me I was running a 2.5.x version - though this may be a PHD2 issue and then failed to run.

… also the same here. After trying to “open sequence with a profile” the dictionary-null-issue came again.
But by the way: Where can I find the SGPro logfile?

All this stuff is fixed in 2.5.0.9 (out tomorrow).

Thanks Ken. My profiles are about 18 months old. Does it make sense for me to just do them again. For 30 mins work, would it take out any uncertainty?

You are welcome to do this if it makes you more comfortable, but it is our philosophy that new versions of SGPro should not cause users to lose profiles or sequences.

I had similar problem with error message as Kinch above …I reviewed all setting and saved, nothing helped.

I created a new profile with exact same details for each tab, all works fine now

I tried with 2.5.0.9, and the same error occurs (both in 2.5.0.8 and 2.5.0.9, but not 2.5.0.7).
