Guys, Just a small help
Is it mandatory to connect the telescope to spgro for sequencing ? can this be done just by connecting other things like filter wheel, camera, etc. except telescope?

A telescope connection is not mandatory, but it will limit the amount of automation you can achieve (pretty significantly).

Oh i see! can you please elaborate what kind of automation will it limit(considering the perfect mechanical setup of the telescope)?

You will be unable to perform three pretty critical actions during sequence execution:

  • Automatic centering of target
  • Automated meridian flip
  • Coordinated dithering

And, as a minor considerations, you will be:

  • Unable to return the mount to a safe position when the sequence is done
  • Unable to recover the sequence when things go wrong… passing clouds etc
