ASTAP generates no solves

Hello people of the night,

returning after some years of pause in AP i installed the latest 32Bit sgpro v4. Downloaded astap and the D50 database in the same directory. Set path in sgpro options dialog and pointed to astap in the equipment settings.
When i load a fits in astap it solves in seconds. when opening the same file in sgpro and fire up solve
a little yellow astap window appears but the process never ends. platesolve2 works like a charm.
any ideas what i can do?

Not sure why off hand, but if you’d like to include logs that show both the failed ASTAP solves and the successful PS2 solve for the same target, we’re happy to take a look.
